Murrumba Downs AWTP

Water Ways for Life Alliance was a successful project that both upgraded the existing Murrumba Downs WWTP and designed and constructed a new Advanced Water Treatment Plant (AWTP) on the same site. The program had a total value of $250M.

Pine Rivers, John Holland and MWH partnered to deliver the Water Ways for Life Alliance. John Holland engaged Tallai Project Group to help assist in preparing for an ECI process that would lead to a competitive TOC type process as the construction management representatives. The Tallai team produced an innovative solution to enable the AWTP to be delivered ahead of schedule which led Pine Rivers to select John Holland and fast track straight into delivery bypassing the competitive TOC Process

For the delivery phase Tallai was responsible for the Engineering Management of the AWTP.

The primary features of the work included chemical dosing, pre filtration, microfiltration, reverse osmosis, degasification and storage.
